Role summary:
The (USA) Manager, Claims Compliance oversees the identification, assessment, and mitigation of product claim risks across their area of responsibility. This role is responsible for monitoring regulatory developments and enforcement trends and prioritizing high-risk claims requiring standards or intervention. The manager partners cross-functionally with Site, Product Development, Merchants, Legal, and Marketing teams to implement controls and ensure compliant claim usage across Private Brands packaging, PDPs, digital shelves, and marketing materials. This role also leads ongoing monitoring of claims substantiation processes, drives proactive risk mitigation strategies, and fosters strong stakeholder alignment to ensure consistent application of compliance requirements.
About the team:
The Specialty Compliance and Ethics team leads the development and governance of claim standards across the business. Serving as subject-matter experts, they ensure all product and marketing claims are accurate, substantiated, and aligned with regulatory requirements. The team provides critical review and guidance on materials before publication, drives compliance risk management, process development, and communication efforts to uphold integrity and regulatory adherence. Collaborating closely with leadership and business partners, they support continuous improvement and effective execution of compliance strategies to protect the company and maintain stakeholder trust.
What you'll do:
Drive a risk-based prioritization framework to inform claim standard development, monitoring, and mitigation strategies.
Design, implement, and maintain controls to prevent the use of prohibited and non-compliant claims across Walmart and Sam's Club digital shelves and marketing channels.
Provide actionable guidance to ensure compliant use of claims across Private Brands packaging, PDPs, digital shelves, and marketing materials.
Partner cross-functionally to embed compliance guardrails and support business teams.
What you'll bring:
Proven expertise in compliance management and regulatory compliance within complex business environments.
Strong skills in policy development, compliance auditing, and risk mitigation to ensure adherence to laws and regulations.
Experience managing stakeholder relationships and collaborating with senior leadership to communicate compliance strategies.
Ability to research, analyze, and interpret regulatory trends and legislation impacting business operations.
Demonstrated capability in developing and executing governance and compliance strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Proficient in project management and internal controls to support continuous improvement and ethical standards.
Adaptability to evolving business needs.
Demonstrates strong understanding of eCommerce platforms.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 2 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 4 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area.
