A state-of-the-art manufacturing facility unlike any typical manufacturing environment Hands-on training from the ground up with individualized development plans focused on your strengths The Sales Engineer serves as the technical and customer-focused bridge between our clients, sales team, and manufacturing operations. This role combines engineering knowledge with relationship-building and consultative sales skills to deliver customized manufacturing solutions that meet customer needs and drive company growth. The ideal candidate is both technically minded and customer-oriented, capable of understanding manufacturing processes, communicating product capabilities, and helping customers identify the best solutions for their operations. Key Responsibilities Technical Sales & Customer Solutions Identify and develop new business opportunities within manufacturing and industrial markets Partner with customers to understand operational challenges and recommend customized product or manufacturing solutions Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions with clients Assist customers with specifications, product selection, and implementation strategies Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process Provide responsive communication and support before, during, and after project completion Engineering & Manufacturing Collaboration Work closely with engineering, production, logistics, customer service, and other internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met Translate customer requirements into manufacturing solutions Assist in reviewing technical drawings, product specifications, and project requirements Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment and contribute positively across departments Quoting, Proposals & Project Support Prepare detailed quotes, proposals, and cost estimates Support contract negotiations and project timelines Track project progress and maintain accurate customer records within CRM systems Industry Knowledge & Market Development Stay current on manufacturing technologies, product innovations, and industry trends Attend trade shows, customer visits, and industry networking events Identify emerging customer needs and new market opportunities ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications Education Associate or bachelor\'s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred Equivalent industry experience will also be considered Experience Previous experience in technical sales, manufacturing, engineering support, industrial equipment, or related industries preferred Experience working directly with customers in a manufacturing environment is a plus Skills & Competencies Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Mechanical aptitude and technical problem-solving abilities Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Strong organizational and project management skills Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced spreadsheet functionality Experience with engineering, modeling, quoting, or CAD-related software preferred Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail Additional Qualities Goal-oriented and motivated by achieving results Eager to learn manufacturing processes and product applications Adaptable in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude with the ability to work well across teams and departments Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer meetings, plant visits, and trade shows Why This Role Matters This position plays a critical role in connecting customers with innovative manufacturing solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and long-term success.
