As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Focus in Maspeth, NY , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.51 / Hour

Day Time

Tue05:00 PM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.

Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and reporting security-related issues to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.

Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and deliveries, verify credentials when required, and follow post orders for access control and package or vehicle-related screening.

Support shipping and receiving operations by observing dock activity, reporting hazards or operational concerns, and assisting with traffic flow, gate activity, and/or directions as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
