Job Title: Electrical Apprentice
Job Description
The Electrical Apprentice supports licensed electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in an industrial plant environment. This role focuses on hands-on tasks such as running conduit, pulling wire, and assisting with live electrical work under supervision, while building strong technical skills and practical field experience.
Responsibilities
Assist licensed electricians with the installation of industrial electrical systems, including panels, motors, controls, and related equipment.
Measure, cut, bend, and install various @types of conduit (rigid, EMT, PVC) to route electrical wiring safely and efficiently.
Pull wire and cable through conduit, walls, and equipment runs to complete electrical circuits under supervision.
Install, mount, and secure junction boxes, panels, and other electrical components in accordance with plans and specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints and basic electrical drawings to support accurate installation work.
Support troubleshooting activities by helping identify issues in wiring, connections, or components as directed by a licensed electrician.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
Follow all safety procedures and instructions when working around live electrical systems and industrial equipment.
Essential Skills
Hands-on experience or training in electrical work within an industrial environment.
Ability to measure, cut, bend, and install conduit, including rigid, EMT, and PVC @types.
Proficiency in pulling wire and cable through conduit and equipment runs.
Basic knowledge of electrical wiring methods, components, and installation practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and simple electrical diagrams.
Fundamental troubleshooting skills to assist with identifying electrical issues under supervision.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to working safely around electrical systems.
Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, and working with tools for extended periods.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience supporting industrial electrical installations is an asset.
Familiarity with conduit bending tools and techniques.
Exposure to working in plant or manufacturing environments.
Willingness to learn, follow directions, and develop skills under the guidance of licensed electricians.

Work Environment

The position requires the use of standard electrical tools and equipment, as well as appropriate personal protective equipment, to ensure safe work practices in an industrial setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
