Summary This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC - T32, Position Description Number D1736P01 and is part of the WI 115 AMXS, Wisconsin Air National Guard. This vacancy is also advertised as AGR Job Vacancy Announcement Number 26-085 Responsibilities As a AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC - T32, WG-6652-11, you will troubleshoot, repair, install, modify, test and adjust aircraft ordnance systems, equipment and components. On and/or off-equipment inspection, modification, overhaul, troubleshooting and repair capability of weapons release and gun systems; verifies and analyzes malfunctions, troubleshoots, tests, inspects and loads/unloads conventional munitions; installs/removes weapons delivery equipment, launchers and gun systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Military Grades: E-4 through E-7 Conditions of Employment: Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required. Required to wear authorized and issued PPE as directed. Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the applicant's ability to repair malfunctions of ordnance equipment and components. Ability to use sketches, electrical diagrams, technical specifications, and engineering drawings. Experience which demonstrates skill in the use of test equipment to make electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic checks. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the WG-6652-11 level, level you must have at least 18 months experience or training in planning and layout of repair sequence and ability to complete modification, repair, and installation of ordnance systems. Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions and determining remedies where complex relationships exist. Experience in hand tools and the use of a variety of measuring and test equipment. Experience in interpreting technical directions, blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's specifications. This is used to verify AFSCs, aptitude scores, position status, time in service, time in grade, etc. This can be pulled from vMPF. 2. Current Fitness Report. Current (within 12 months) Fitness report from myFitness in pdf format. 3. AF Form 422 Current (within 12 months), Physical Profile Serial Report. If any PULHES are a "3", a statement indicating that individual is Worldwide Deployable needs to be submitted.
