PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Manager IT at our Tysons, Virginia location. The primary purpose of this position is to lead an IT team in the development, delivery and support of innovative technical solutions and practices that advance IT division objectives and standards aligned with PenFed strategy. strategic objectives and IT division standards. The manager will promote the engagement and professional development of employees within assigned responsibility areas.

Manages an IT staff of 5 -10 employees.
May oversee work performed by contractors.
Manages development and implementation of technical solutions in the relevant IT technical discipline in support of IT division objectives and PenFed strategy goals.
Perform code reviews and also part of all design discussions for all assigned teams.
Provide leadership during release calls and Sev1/Sev 2
Influence business stakeholders to adhere to PenFed Reference Architecture.
Manage Implementing systems/process in a phased approach of requirements analysis, system design, reviewing, building, integration, and testing.
Leading the development of product/project requirements and success criteria as part of the team.
Providing escalation support to troubleshoot, maintaining systems, and resolving issues and outages.
Developing and maintaining proper documentation including configuration specifics and procedures, for implementation and ongoing operation/maintenance of solutions.
Performing routine operational tasks, verifying the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all hardware, resources, systems, and key processes.
Reviewing system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs. Serving as a key team member using existing technical knowledge and having the skills to perform projects independently.
Manages a small number of complex IT projects.
Promote industry best practices and supports IT division standards.
Ensures compliance with IT division technology and security standards, governance processes, and performance metrics to ensure IT delivers value to the enterprise.
Monitors production, output, and services to ensure that SLAs, and other IT division quality metrics, are met.
Maintains and controls budget, schedule, and team resources.
Manages vendors and service providers within team function.
Ensure staff have the resources and skills needed to support all work initiatives within the team's assigned function and responsibilities.
Meet regularly with direct reports to ensure high employee engagement.
Meet regularly with the team to gather work statuses and discuss progress and obstacles.
Provides advice, guidance, encouragement and constructive feedback.
Promote culture of high-performance, continuous improvement and commitment to quality and accountability.
Establishes measurable individual and team objectives that are aligned with PenFed IT division organizational goals.

Qualifications
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
Job requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or MBA in a closely related technical field, and 8 years of progressive software development experience.
Minimum of Seven (7) years' experience in SalesForce Development with FSC.
Minimum of Five (5) years' experience in Applications Development / Application Delivery Pipelines.
Minimum of Seven (7) years' experience with Git.
Minimum of Six (6) years' experience with infrastructure designs, implementation, and support.
Minimum of Six (6) years' experience with provisioning tools (Docker, Nugget etc.)
Knowledge of the major peripheral systems that work in conjunction with assigned applications.
Strong leadership capability, executing as appropriate in the areas of responsibility.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
Effective time management, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
Effective presentation skills.
Strong knowledge of technologies, methodologies and practices in the relevant technical discipline.
Knowledge of the roles, skills and technical knowledge required to achieve goals within the relevant technical discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands on Experience in Apex, Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, Future, Platform Events, Trigger, Lightning Flows, Visualforce Page, SOQL/SOSL, Apex Test Class, Integration with REST and SOAP based API's, Lightning Web Components, HTML, CSS, SLDS, etc.
Exposure to Apex and Lightning best practices along with Apex Design Patterns would be added advantage.
Understanding Salesforce Architecture and Governor Limits.
Good understanding of latest releases and upgrades from Salesforce.
Hands-on experience using VS Code, Git, Apex Data Loader and Code review process.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will supervise employees.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.
