Job Title: Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Job Description
This role supports a small, fast-paced warehouse and office operation by coordinating all aspects of domestic and international shipping and receiving. You will process incoming and outgoing shipments, prepare and review critical documentation, communicate with carriers and internal partners, and help maintain accurate inventory records to ensure products move efficiently and compliantly through the supply chain.
Responsibilities
Process incoming and outgoing shipments for both domestic and international orders in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepare, review, and verify shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), packing slips, and export documentation.
Coordinate shipments with carriers such as FedEx, UPS, and freight providers, ensuring proper scheduling, routing, and service levels.
Manage and track Contract of Affreightment (COA) shipments and ensure freight agreements are followed.
Pick, pack, and label products for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements.
Handle email and phone communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams to provide updates on order status and logistics.
Receive incoming materials, verify accuracy against purchase orders, and enter data into inventory and ERP systems.
Maintain organized and accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities for audit and tracking purposes.
Assist with inventory control tasks, including cycle counting and reconciliation of warehouse inventory.
Use warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to safely load, unload, move, and store materials.
Support general warehouse operations, including material handling, loading, unloading, and general labor as needed.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements related to domestic and international shipping.
Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment by following established safety and operational guidelines.
Essential Skills
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination.
Experience handling domestic and international shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, export documents, and SDS.
Familiarity with FedEx, UPS, and freight shipment processes.
Hands-on experience with inventory, shipping and receiving, picking, packing, and material handling.
Ability to use warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners for loading, unloading, and material movement.
Experience with inventory control, warehouse inventory management, and cycle counts.
Basic computer skills, including use of ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and email communication.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for phone and email correspondence.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with Contract of Affreightment (COA) or freight agreements.
Experience in warehouse operations, including pick/pack, inventory management, and packaging.
Knowledge of shipping documentation requirements for international logistics.
Comfort working in a small team environment where flexibility and cross-training are valued.

Work Environment
This position is based in a combined warehouse and office setting that supports medical manufacturing operations. You will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment as part of a very small team and facility, which encourages close collaboration and clear communication. The role follows a 1st shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You will regularly work around warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners, and will be involved in loading, unloading, and handling materials in a structured and safety-conscious environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
