EnviroScience, Inc.Full time RegularEnviroScience is looking to hire a full time, entry level Environmental Scientist to support our growing Compliance Services Practice Area at the EnviroScience headquarters in Stow, Ohio. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who works well on a team, can manage several tasks at once, is detail oriented, and completes assignments safely and efficiently. The role includes field work, so candidates should be comfortable working outdoors. Strong basic scientific writing skills are preferred, and availability to travel is required.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPreforming multimedia field sampling including:Surface waterGroundwaterStormwaterSedimentPerforming inspections and site visits in both rural and industrial settingsMaintain a flexible work scheduleConducting field work year-round in adverse weather and rough terrainOrganizing and reviewing data and assisting in the development of reportsRepresenting client's best interests and support the client as needed during the duration of the projectCommunicating efficiently with team members and clientsAdhere to EnviroScience's core values including:SafetyClient AdvocacyRespectTeamworkAccountabilityQuality WorkOther duties as assigned or requiredThis position is an excellent opportunity for an entry level environmental scientist interested in diversified project @types and possesses a high level of self-motivation.RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related field with 0-2 years of field experience, or Associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an environmental science field.Willingness and ability to learn new systems, equipment, and skillFlexibility for overnight travel. Accommodate long field days and changes in schedule due to weather or clients needSelf-motivated, organized, and ability to work independently and part of a teamComfortable driving vehicles for an extended period of time.Strong communication skills with team members in fast-paced field conditionsPreferred:CPR certified40 Hour HAZWOPERExperience with soil classificationAble to travel for extended periods.Ability to drive a truck and trailering equipmentAbility to operate and work on a boatWe enjoy and appreciate collaboration as a team and expect great communication from the candidate. Teamwork is anticipated through one on ones with staff but will also need to occur through many phone and text/email conversions. Work will include office time to collaborate with other staff and managers.This candidate is expected to come into the Stow, Ohio office daily to assist staff and project workload. Remote and work from home will occur as needed and with pre-approval from their manager.
