Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description
The Forklift Operator plays a key role in warehouse operations by safely operating forklifts and other power equipment to receive, stock, pick, and ship merchandise. This position uses RF scanners and voice-pick technology to process inventory accurately and efficiently while maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area.
Responsibilities
Receive incoming freight by operating a forklift and other power equipment to unload trailers and place product on the dock in preparation for stocking.
Use an RF scanner to process received products, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and proper placement in the warehouse.
Stock and resupply bins using an RF scanner, maintaining appropriate inventory levels to support efficient order picking.
Maintain organized and accurate inventory in assigned areas while working on foot or using a reach lift as required.
Fulfill customer orders by using a Voice Collect headset to select, pick, and stage merchandise for transport.
Operate a forklift or other power equipment to move, stack, and stage products safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
Load outgoing trailers strategically by operating forklifts or other power equipment to maximize space and protect product integrity.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating material handling equipment and moving freight.
Support general warehouse operations, including cleaning work areas, organizing pallets, and assisting team members as needed.
Essential Skills
Proven ability to safely operate a forklift and other warehouse power equipment.
Experience working in a warehouse environment with responsibilities such as inventory, picking, and order selection.
Ability to use RF scanners for inventory processing, stocking, and tracking product movement.
Capability to work on high reach equipment or reach lifts when required.
Strong safety orientation and commitment to following established safety procedures.
Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time during the shift.
Ability to stoop, squat, and kneel on a regular basis to handle and move product.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when needed.
Willingness to work on weekends and holidays as required by operational needs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience as a forklift operator, order selector, or warehouse associate.
Familiarity with voice-pick or Voice Collect headset systems for order fulfillment.
Experience working with inventory control processes in a warehouse setting.
Comfort working both on foot and while operating material handling equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment
This role is based in a temperate-controlled warehouse environment designed to support safe and efficient material handling operations. Team members regularly work around forklifts, high-reach equipment, RF scanners, and voice-pick technology while moving throughout the facility on foot. The position requires extended periods of standing and walking, as well as frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling. The dress code allows for comfortable work attire, including shorts or pants, a T-shirt without profanity, and sneakers or other closed-toe shoes suitable for a warehouse setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $21.75/hr.
