Job Title: 1st Shift Warehouse Forklift Operator
Job Description
This role supports a clean, organized warehouse environment by safely operating a sit-down forklift and handling agricultural seed products. You will move, stack, and prepare large seed bags for production and distribution while following established production policies and procedures. The position requires consistent physical activity, attention to safety, and the ability to work overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload agricultural seed products within the warehouse.
Stack large seed bags, typically 2-3 bags high, ensuring stable and secure placement to maintain safety and product integrity.
Apply general knowledge of production policies and procedures to support daily production activities.
Lift, carry, and throw seed bags as needed when not operating the forklift, including handling bags that may weigh 50 pounds or more.
Assist with labeling products accurately to ensure correct identification and traceability.
Help bag products and prepare them for shipping, receiving, and warehouse distribution activities.
Support picking orders and staging materials for shipment or internal production use.
Perform repetitive tasks with consistency and care, maintaining focus on quality and safety throughout the shift.
Follow all warehouse safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to facility rules.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
Essential Skills
Previous warehouse experience in a production or distribution environment.
Proven forklift experience, specifically operating a sit-down forklift.
Work experience in production operations, including familiarity with production policies and procedures.
Ability to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the shift.
Comfort working in a repetitive, physically demanding role while maintaining attention to detail.
Basic understanding of shipping, receiving, and order picking processes.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently.
Commitment to working overtime as needed, including extended daily hours.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in warehouse distribution environments, including shipping and receiving.
Familiarity with order picking and staging materials for shipment.
Strong safety awareness and a track record of safe equipment operation.
Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to maintain consistent attendance.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a warehouse team.

Work Environment
This is a 1st shift position, typically scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with regular overtime that may extend the day to approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The work takes place in a very clean and organized warehouse facility focused on agricultural seed products. Temperature conditions tend to be in the mid-40s to 50s Fahrenheit during winter months and can become warmer during summer months. The work is physically demanding and repetitive, involving frequent lifting and handling of 50-pound seed bags and regular operation of a sit-down forklift. The dress code requires a T-shirt, jeans, and steel-toe footwear at all times, with no exceptions. You will work around warehouse equipment and materials in a structured, safety-conscious environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
