Job Description
The Regional Asset Protection Manager is responsible for leading Asset Protection strategy and operational execution across a multi-state regional network of supply chain facilities, including distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and transportation hubs. This role oversees AP leaders within the region, ensuring effective shrink reduction, safety performance, investigative outcomes, and execution of companywide AP programs.
This leader partners closely with Operations, HR, Inventory Control, and the Corporate AP team to drive consistent standards, strengthen security posture, and enhance the overall protection of assets, people, and facilities. The Regional Manager is field-based and requires frequent travel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership
Champion and clearly communicate the vision, values, and priorities of the Asset Protection organization throughout the regional Supply Chain networks, including distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and transportation networks. Execute strategies to address shortage reduction, facility security, fraud prevention, investigations, cargo theft,, and compliance.
Translate enterprise AP strategies into actionable regional plans with measurable outcomes.
Build strong cross - functional partnerships to ensure alignment, influence decision - making, and support operational priorities.
Use data - driven insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, proactively recommending mitigation strategies.
Maintain clear and timely reporting on key shrink, safety, and security metrics; drive accountability for performance improvement.
Support new process rollouts, system enhancements, and AP technology deployments to ensure adoption and compliance.
Shrink Reduction & Operational Excellence
Co - develop regional shrink reduction strategies and lead the implementation of company AP programs.
Analyze shrink, safety, and operational data to identify root causes, outliers, and risk areas; partner with facility leadership to address gaps.
Monitor compliance with AP standards, policy, and regulatory requirements; support corrective action plans.
Evaluate facility security practices and partner with AP Director on upgrades, audits, and capital needs related to physical security.
Theft Mitigation, Investigations & ORC Support
Oversee investigations into internal theft, external theft, fraud, cargo theft, and organized retail crime affecting the supply chain.
Coordinate with the Corporate ORC team and Supply Chain ORC Investigators to swiftly address high - impact cases.
Utilize exception - based reporting, KPIs, and intelligence tools to identify patterns and drive proactive intervention.
Ensure appropriate case documentation, evidence handling, and collaboration with law enforcement.
Emergency Response, Safety & Crisis Management
Support incident response for security events, workplace violence concerns, civil unrest, severe weather, and other critical situations.
Ensure regional teams are trained on security protocols and incident response plans; conduct drills and readiness testing.
Review safety and security trends and work with operations partners to reduce incidents and improve facility safety culture.
People Leadership & Talent Development
Build a culture of transparency, diversity, inclusion, and high performance across the regional AP team.
Recruit, hire, and develop AP talent, ensuring leaders have the skills needed for investigations, operations, and strategic influence.
Conduct regular coaching and development conversations through Quarterly Connects.
Own regional succession planning, preparing employees for expanded responsibility and career growth.
Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across AP teams and peer region
QUALIFICATIONS:
6-8 years progressive experience in Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, Supply Chain Security, or related areas. Supply Chain Experience preferred.
3+ years leading multi - unit AP leaders or operational managers.
Bachelor's degree OR equivalent professional experience.
Strategic, operational, and interpersonal skills demonstrating broad expertise in Asset Protection, multi-unit management and internal theft resolution.
Wicklander/Zulawski Basic Interview Certification.
Experience with workplace violence prevention and business continuity planning.
Familiarity with logistics, inventory accuracy, and shortage control programs.
Previous exception reporting experience.
Demonstrated success driving shrink reduction and improving operational compliance.
Experience with physical security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Ability to travel up to 50-75%.
Flexible schedule, including occasional weekends.
Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Maryland: $121,000-$199,000 annually, Pennsylvania: $94,500-$156,000 annually
