JOB REQUIREMENTS: Apply for tomorrow\'s opportunity today, with Volt Volt is immediately hiring for Mechanical Design Engineer in Wauwatosa, WI As a Mechanical Designer you will: Design, integrate, and deliver component and system designs from concept through production Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to develop suspension, steering, and wheels & tires components and systems Create CAD models, large virtual assemblies, and detailed drawings for motorcycle components and systems utilizing advanced surfacing techniques within Creo Create engineering change notices utilizing Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) systems Deliver optimal designs that adhere to project targets, performance objectives, quality standards, and cost minimization goals Create written and graphical documentation supporting engineering guidelines, drawings, assembly documentation, and tolerance studies Apply sound design practices to engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Take manufacturing and assembly processes into consideration throughout the design process Strict adherence to the 5S concept and all other supporting CI (continuous improvement) methods This is a full-time 6-month Contract opportunity Required Skills: Proficient in CREO with a background in motorcycle, powersports, or automotive OEM Experience in large assemblies with Engineering drawings, GD&T experience 2 years in design execution roles in Chassis OR Suspension
