JOB SUMMARY
The Director, CRN Marketing is responsible for leading the execution and activation of B2B marketing strategy for the Marriott Bonvoy Convention & Resort Network (CRN). Reporting to the Senior Director, B2B Marketing - US & Canada, this role serves as the day-to-day marketing leader for CRN-translating enterprise B2B marketing strategy into measurable, high-impact marketing programs that drive profitable group, meetings, and intermediary business for CRN hotels. The Director also leads the marketing of the CRN shared service offering, clearly articulating its value to current and prospective hotels while ensuring strong alignment with CRN sales, operations, and leadership priorities. This role requires executive-level communication skills and presence to build credibility, establish rapport, and effectively manage relationships with senior leaders across CRN Hotels and companywide stakeholders within a matrixed environment.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
8 or more years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, demand generation, or related fields.
Demonstrated experience executing complex marketing programs with measurable business outcomes.
Strong ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization and influence without direct authority.
Preferred
Executive-level communication skills and presence, with demonstrated ability to build rapport, develop senior-level relationships, and effectively manage and influence leadership stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
Experience in hospitality, travel, or large-scale service organizations.
Experience supporting group, meetings, or intermediary-driven business models.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
B2B Marketing Strategy Execution for CRN
Execute the CRN B2B marketing strategy established by the Senior Director, B2B Marketing - US & Canada.
Translate strategic priorities into actionable marketing plans, campaigns, and programs that drive measurable B2B demand.
Day-to-day management of CRN marketing placements, including paid media and owned channels.
Coordinate CRN marketing tactics with portfolio B2B marketing initiatives to support a cohesive go-to-market strategy as set by the Senior Director.
Develop customer-facing creative and messaging that aligns with portfolio voice and CRN brand identity.
Ensure marketing efforts support group, meetings, and intermediary business objectives for CRN hotels.
Partner closely with CRN Sales and Operations leaders to align marketing execution with business needs.
CRN Shared Service Marketing
Lead the marketing of the CRN shared service model to existing and prospective participating hotels.
Develop messaging, materials, and proof points that articulate the value and differentiation of the CRN offering.
Support stakeholder engagement efforts by providing marketing insights, case studies, and performance updates.
Ensure CRN B2B marketing programs are measurable and performance-driven.
Track results against defined success metrics including demand generation, revenue contribution, and program effectiveness.
Partner with Analytics and Finance teams to report performance and inform optimization decisions.
Support B2B marketing test-and-learn initiatives within the CRN portfolio.
Capture insights and learnings from CRN pilots and share recommendations with the Senior Director for potential systemwide scaling.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of B2B marketing approaches and capabilities.
Serve as a primary day-to-day marketing point of contact for CRN, demonstrating executive presence and strong executive-level communications in interactions with CRN senior leaders and companywide stakeholders; build rapport, manage expectations, and influence outcomes through trusted relationships.
Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Management, Operations, and Continent Marketing teams to ensure aligned execution.
Maintain a strong dotted-line partnership with the VP, CRN organization.
Provide regular updates, insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Represent CRN marketing with above-property and property stakeholders.
Performance Measurement & Optimization
Ensure CRN B2B marketing programs are measurable and performance-driven.
Track results against defined success metrics including demand generation, revenue contribution, and program effectiveness.
