Three Rivers FS Company Schedule A Agronomy Sales Department: Sales JOB CODE: M0054002 REPORTS TO: Energy Marketing Manager FSLA STATUS: Non-Exempt Prepared Date: May 2023 PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT _ Under the direction of the Energy Marketing Manager, it is accountable for profitable sales and market share growth of assigned products and services. _ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS _ Leads and initiates sales calls of assigned products with an emphasis on seed, crop protection, plant food, and precision supported programs with targeted growers for Dubuque County. Develops a high level of personal trust with the ability to influence grower purchasing decisions. Displays high level of actives sales skills with the ability to close sales calls. Identifies buying motives, handles objections, and meets sales goals. Develops whole farm proposals that create differentiation in the marketing place to proftiably grow seed, crop protection, plant food, and precision volumes. Actively calls on accounts and prospects. Personally knows the top 10 accounts at location. Attains and maintains technical and sales skills to certification standards. Performs all other duties as assigned by their manager. _REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Education and/or Experience Associates Degree in agriculture or business is preferred or a minimum of three years' experience in a related field and in agricultural sales. We will consider training the right candidate. Scope Responsible for own work and may provide some directions to others; exercises some control over expenses and generation of revenues; makes budgetary recommendations. Significance and Purpose of Personal Contacts Contacts with employees outside the immediate department or members of the general public to plan, coordinate or advise in an effort to influence or motivate individuals in situations relative to basic service. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on Three Rivers FS and GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position. Ability and willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons. Follows Three Rivers FS's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
