Job Title: Electrical Foreman
Job Description
This role leads electrical installation and troubleshooting activities on a commercial interiors assisted living project. The Electrical Foreman provides hands-on oversight of conduit bending, switchgear and generator work, and overall electrical installations while guiding a small field team to deliver safe, high-quality results on schedule.
Responsibilities
Oversee and perform hands-on bending of electrical conduit, including EMT and rigid conduit, to meet project specifications and codes.
Lead the installation of electrical systems, including conduit runs, fixtures, panels, switchgear, transformers, and generators.
Troubleshoot electrical wiring and circuits to diagnose and resolve issues safely and efficiently.
Review and interpret blueprints and schematics to plan and execute electrical installations accurately.
Coordinate daily tasks for a small field crew, providing direction, feedback, and support to ensure productive and safe work practices.
Verify that all electrical installations comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
Inspect completed work for quality, functionality, and adherence to design and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with other trades and site personnel to maintain smooth project workflows and resolve field issues.
Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials related to conduit bending, switchgear, generators, and general electrical work.
Maintain a strong focus on safety by enforcing PPE usage and safe work practices at all times.
Support project timelines by maintaining consistent attendance, punctuality, and a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
Document work as needed and communicate progress, challenges, and resource needs to site leadership.
Essential Skills
8-10 years of electrical experience in commercial or similar environments.
Proficiency in bending conduit, including EMT and rigid conduit, using appropriate tools and methods.
Hands-on experience installing conduit, fixtures, panels, switchgear, transformers, and generators.
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills for wiring, circuits, and equipment issues.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics accurately.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety certification.
Demonstrated ability to lead and work within a small team in a field environment.
Consistent, reliable attendance and the ability to maintain a positive attitude under field conditions.
Commitment to wearing and enforcing required PPE and following safety procedures at all times.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience on commercial interiors projects, particularly in assisted living or similar facilities.
Experience working with switchgear and generator systems in a construction setting.
Comfort working in a smaller crew environment and receiving and giving constructive feedback.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with teammates and other trades on site.
Detail-oriented approach to conduit layout, terminations, and final installation quality.

Work Environment
The role is based on a commercial interiors assisted living project in Bethpage. You will work on-site with a crew of approximately 10-15 field employees in a construction environment focused on interior electrical installations. Standard hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with work conducted in an active jobsite setting that may involve ladders, lifts, and typical construction conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times, and adherence to site safety rules is mandatory. The environment emphasizes teamwork, feedback, and collaboration, and expects consistent attendance, professionalism, and a positive attitude throughout the project.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $48.00/hr.
