Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Sales Support Specialist to join a dynamic inside sales team within the manufacturing industry. This role plays a critical part in managing customer accounts, processing complex orders, and ensuring accurate, timely service across domestic and international clients.
Key Responsibilities
Manage customer accounts with a focus on customer satisfaction, sales growth, and margin improvement
Handle customer requests including quotes, order entry, tracking, and delivery updates
Process 50-75 complex orders daily with multiple line items
Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email (210-265 emails/day)
Resolve customer issues, including returns, credits, and debits
Communicate customer needs with operations and engineering teams
Support outside sales representatives and collaborate across teams
Monitor pricing agreements and maintain accurate documentation
Perform detailed contract/order reviews prior to processing
Manage shipping logistics and routing, including freight terms (prepaid, collect, third-party)
Ensure accuracy in order details to avoid costly errors
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in:
Manufacturing sales support OR
Manufacturing customer service
Strong experience with order entry and product knowledge
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong math skills (fractions, decimals)
High attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ERP systems (QAD strongly preferred)
Familiarity with manufacturing or industrial products

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
