About the Operations Specialist - Research Role

Are you a problem-solver who loves to dig deep for answers? Trustco Bank is seeking an Operations Specialist - Research to be our frontline expert in information retrieval and problem resolution. In this role, you aren't just looking at data-you are navigating legal requests, balancing complex ledgers, and providing the critical answers our customers and branches need to move forward.

Key Responsibilities

Legal & Statutory Liaison: Serve as the point of contact for complex subpoenas, levies, and income verifications, ensuring every request is handled with precision and speed.

Internal Support Hero: Provide essential support to our branch network, from retrieving lost statements and check copies to leading customer investigations.

Workflow Guardian: Manage daily returned mail and maintain organized, complete records to keep the Operations department running like a well-oiled machine.

Qualifications

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent; higher education or financial experience is a plus.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Self-motivated with a collaborative spirit.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Fluent in English; bilingual a plus

Access to reliable transportation

Preferred

Bachelor's degree.

Previous banking or financial services experience.

Schedule

Full-time position with hours aligned to department operations:

Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Physical Demands:

Primarily sedentary; includes use of standard office equipment.
