Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (POLICY AND PLANNING) in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES DEPARTMENT (N6) of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS. Responsibilities You will foster a work climate that promotes IT software innovation, teamwork and automation. You will oversee the development, installation, integration, and optimization of state-of-the-art software. You will direct and supervise a highly technical IT workforce, providing senior managerial leadership, strategic planning, task management and coordination of activities for the Division. You will provide technical advice, guidance and recommendations on critical IT software development, integration and optimization. You will build key partnerships with other commands, government agencies, commercial industry, academia and IT stakeholders. You will ensure that the organization's Strategic Plan, Mission, Vision, and values are integrated into the Division's goals, plans, software work products and IT services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency could include: Presenting IT briefings to leadership to inform or reach a decision; or providing feedback, training, or mentoring in relevant IT skills. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency can include: Proposing innovative IT solutions to operational issues; or resourcing, monitoring and distributing IT work to achieve strategic mission priorities. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in software engineering and integration of complex software solutions applying modern full-scale lifecycle development methods and tools. Experience and technical expertise in areas such as software requirements, planning, designing, developing, programming, integration, cybersecurity, quality assurance, configuration management and sustainment. Experience aligning human capital, IT and budget resources to successfully achieve strategic objectives of the mission and operations. Experience promoting teamwork within groups of IT personnel, and fostering innovation and automation in software solutions integration and work management.
