Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will work on environmental protection projects of complex scope involving analysis, development, implementation and management of environmental programs assigned at installations. You will serve as command technical expert in one or more program or functional areas and also plans, implements, or monitors other listed environmental programs. You will Manage installation aspects of environmental plans and permits, by ensuring compliance with permits issued by local, State, and Federal regulatory agencies. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Interpreting regulatory and environmental requirements, laws, and regulations. Conduct program and project reviews, write supporting documents, and develop standard operating procedures (SOP); Review requirements and regulations and relate them to projects and programs to provide moderate level of expertise, problem solving, and feedback to supervisors; Interpreting environmental compliance requirements, regulations, required trainings, and reporting to ensure programs are within State, Federal, and Navy compliance. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
