Job Title: Driver Warehouse Associate
Job Description
The Driver Warehouse Associate plays a key role in ensuring safe, timely, and professional delivery of HVAC products while maintaining a well-organized warehouse. You will represent the organization in the field, provide courteous and reliable customer service, operate delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment safely, and support daily warehouse operations between deliveries.
Responsibilities
Represent the organization as a professional and reliable leader in the HVAC distribution industry during all customer interactions.
Safely operate a box truck to deliver HVAC goods and materials to customers, vendors, and other Sales Center locations.
Perform daily loading and unloading of products for delivery, ensuring accuracy and care in handling all materials.
Collect invoices from customers with proper signatures and return all documentation to the Sales Center leadership team.
Assist in warehouse operations, including inventory counts, order picking, and verifying orders for accuracy before shipment.
Complete a daily checklist of truck maintenance and document in/out times, including handling and recording merchandise returns.
Adhere to all company safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines at all times while driving and working in the warehouse.
Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure it is worn correctly during all applicable tasks.
Report any safety hazards, incidents, or near-misses immediately to management to support a safe work environment.
Participate in regular safety training sessions and drills to maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and stacking of all products to prevent damage, accidents, and injuries.
Follow all guidelines for the safe operation of the truck, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free truck, warehouse workspace, and loading areas to support safety and efficiency.
Conduct all loading and unloading activities using proper lifting techniques and appropriate equipment to minimize risk of injury.
Operate computer systems and productivity tools to support delivery, inventory, and documentation processes.
Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse and delivery operations.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 1 year of truck driving experience.
Experience with box truck delivery.
Valid Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certificate obtained prior to employment.
Ability to meet DOT physical qualification standards, with reasonable accommodations as needed.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with a focus on problem-solving and relationship-building.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with reasonable accommodations provided as needed.
Demonstrated interest in continuous learning, mentoring, and leadership.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools, with the option to use assistive technologies.
Ability to safely move parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to access equipment and perform job duties.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training may be provided).
Sufficient visual acuity to read labels, inspect equipment, monitor inventory, and operate machinery, including close and distance vision, color differentiation, peripheral awareness, depth perception, and focus.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is highly desirable.
Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
Experience driving a forklift or using an appliance lift is preferred.
Experience in HVAC distribution or related industries is beneficial.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in handling inventory and documentation.
Comfort using computer and telephone equipment for extended periods.
Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with the team.
Commitment to safety, including consistent use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.

Work Environment
The position follows a structured schedule of Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with additional hours on Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The work takes place in a warehouse and delivery environment that involves operating box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment. The role requires regular movement of parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling to access equipment and inventory. You will use computers and telephones for extended periods to support delivery and inventory tasks. Visual acuity is important for reading labels, inspecting equipment, monitoring inventory, and safely operating vehicles and machinery. The environment prioritizes safety, with established protocols, required PPE, and regular safety training. Dress is practical and appropriate for warehouse and delivery work, supporting safe operation of equipment and comfortable movement throughout the shift.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
