Intern - Sales and Operating Planning

Description

Assist with collecting, organizing, and analyzing sales, production, and inventory data

Support the S&OP team in maintaining forecasting spreadsheets and planning reports

Help track inventory levels and identify potential shortages or excess inventory

Assist in preparing reports for weekly and monthly planning meetings

Collaborate with production, supply chain, customer service, and sales teams to gather planning information

Update demand forecasts based on sales trends and customer orders

Support scheduling and production planning activities as needed

Review data for accuracy and help maintain planning systems

Assist with identifying process improvement opportunities within planning workflows

Help monitor key performance indicators such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and service levels

Support special projects related to supply chain, operations planning, and process optimization

Prepare presentations and summaries for leadership or department meetings

Perform administrative tasks related to planning operations, including documentation and file management

Communicate planning updates to internal teams as needed

Perform other duties as assigned to support the S&OP team

Preferred skills/qualifications:

Pursuing a degree in supply chain, business, operations management, finance, or a related field

Strong Excel and data analysis skills

Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands/fingers to @type, hold, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
