Summary You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT in the G-4 Logisitics Division, Distribution Management Office (DMO) of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO. Responsibilities You will perform a full range of transportation services for active duty military personnel, reserve components and Department of Defense (DOD) civilians in connection with processing authorized personal property shipment/storage entitlements. You will schedule appointments over the phone, via email, or on a walk-in basis and review shipment requests, interpret orders, and process applications in accordance with travel orders. You will maintain shipment records, prepare, and processes shipping and storage documents using the Defense Personal Property Shipping (DPS) system. You will provide entitlement briefs to service members retiring, separating, and PCSing CONUS and OCONUS. You will screen completed PPM packages for correct documentation and compliance prior to submission for final settlement. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: reviewing personal property shipment requests, advising on entitlements, and preparing/processing shipping documents AND utilizing of automated systems, store and retrieve data, reconciling errors, and producing documents. GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-04) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing support services relative to shipment and/or storage of personal property, privately owned vehicles, boats and mobile homes.
