Account Development Representative

Remote - Must live in Utah

Position Summary

We are seeking a high-performing sales professional with a proven track record of exceeding quotas and developing long-term, profitable relationships with government agencies (e.g., cities, counties, or state-level organizations) in Utah.

The ideal candidate brings an existing network of trusted agency relationships and a reputation strong enough that key stakeholders would follow them to a new platform. This individual will serve as the primary face of the organization within the territory-earning trust, identifying client challenges, and delivering solutions that improve outcomes while optimizing limited budgets.

Core Responsibilities

Territory Planning & Pipeline Management

Develop and execute an annual territory sales plan

Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities

Track all sales activities, client interactions, and project data within CRM systems

Analyze market dynamics, including client needs and competitive landscape

Business Development & Account Management

Identify and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing relationships

Conduct outreach through calls, meetings, presentations, and industry events

Deliver compelling presentations and lead consultative sales discussions

Leverage existing relationships to drive immediate and sustained revenue growth

Client Service & Solution Delivery

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations

Support project planning, coordination, and execution as needed

Maintain a high level of responsiveness and professionalism in all interactions

Ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnership development

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Operate within a team-oriented, learning-focused environment

Share market feedback and client insights to support innovation and strategy

Participate in ongoing skill development and knowledge-sharing initiatives

Qualifications

Demonstrated success in B2G (business-to-government) sales

Strong existing relationships with public sector agencies in the target region

Highly self-motivated with a proactive, "hunter" mentality

Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Exceptional organization and attention to detail

Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business tools

Familiarity with public procurement processes (RFPs, bids, etc.)

Ability to work independently and travel extensively within the region

Valid driver's license

Compensation

Competitive base salary
