Marketing Assistant - Job Description
Position Overview
The Marketing Assistant supports the Marketing & Innovation team in creating, executing, and maintaining marketing initiatives across all Fresquez Companies' brands. This role plays a key part in content creation, digital presence management, promotional planning, and coordination of marketing materials for multiple restaurant locations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.
Essential Functions
Content Creation & Campaign Support
Create marketing initiatives and campaigns for Mac's Steak in the Rough and other Fresquez brands.
Write and edit copy for ads, social posts, newsletters, and promotional campaigns.
Film and photograph content needed for marketing campaigns, social media, websites, and internal use.
Develop engaging blog content for the company website and SharePoint.
Assist in planning and executing seasonal promotions in collaboration with the graphic designer.
Digital Marketing & Online Presence
Maintain and update hours of operation, menus, and digital listings via Marqii.
Complete weekly audits of digital menus to ensure accuracy across all platforms.
Manage and update company accounts on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms.
Register all business locations on major digital platforms including Yelp, TripAdvisor, Apple Maps, Google Business Profile, etc.
Monitor and respond to online reviews using Marqii or other review-management tools.
Track KPIs and basic analytics (web traffic, social engagement, ad results) and prepare simple reports.
Marketing Materials & Brand Execution
Order, track, maintain, and deliver printed marketing materials to all restaurant locations. (daily checks).
Manage uniform orders, working with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate, schedule, and oversee signage installations, replacements, and updates.
Assist with visual merchandising initiatives, including in-store displays, POP materials, and brand standards.
Support the rollout of new brand guidelines, menu changes, and marketing campaigns.
Communication & Coordination
Produce and distribute bi-monthly company newsletters (internal or external).
Assist with communication to store managers regarding promotions, deadlines, and marketing rollouts.
Maintain marketing calendars, campaign trackers, and project timelines.
Coordinate with suppliers, printers, and contractors for marketing-related tasks.
Operational Marketing Tasks
Maintain updated inventory of marketing items, props, signage, and uniforms.
Maintain an inventory of merchandise for all stores.
Document processes and create checklists for recurring marketing operations.
Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and recap documents for leadership.
Support event marketing efforts (community events, sponsorships, openings).
Perform administrative tasks including budgeting support, invoice processing, and vendor communication.
Collaborate with the IT department to assist in the creation, organization, and ongoing updates of training materials and content for the company's training platform (ExpandShare), including helping administer and maintain the platform as needed.
Provide administrative support to operations teams and assist with company-wide initiatives or projects as needed.

Required Education and Experience
