Job Description
Drives innovation and transformation of the cost management service offering along with innovation and best practices.
Works with the team to enhance and develop cost management templates and support training so that templates are utilized consistently through the program. Focuses on productivity, automation, and simplification with the remits of existing systems.
Responsible for developing and maintaining the cost management playbook.
Develops enhanced and simplified commercial reporting, analysis of program data, and periodic program performance reviews and assessments aligned to the agreed KPIs and objectives.
Ensure regional savings are tracked across all regions and provide quarterly report to Procurement and regional leadership.
Establish estimating standards for each design phase.
Develop regionalized training material, presented in an agreed format, for the Cost Management teams.
Develop and implement a rates library databases to support the cost delivery team.
Provide a regular update on regional data for FX and inflation forecasts and trend
Brings strategic advice and applies industry knowledge, i.e. procurement strategy, operating model enhancement, delivery method improvements, working with the team and Project Directors providing CM input for the development/enhancement of construction management procedures, leading on Cost Management transformation initiatives.
Responsible for meeting/exceeding KPIs. Works with regional leads analyzing trends, addressing issues, cross sharing solutions and a source for escalation; responsible for issue resolution for all Cost Management deliverables and commercial matters.
Works with real estate lead and regional leads to define, agree, and implement regional goals and commercial priorities. On a periodic basis, i.e., monthly, working with client regional leads to support ongoing solution of agreed priorities. Provides summary report on progress.
Act as a key liaison between cost teams, project leadership, and governance groups to understand requirements and resolve issues
Develop and maintain Excel-based tools, models, and templates to support monthly and ad-hoc reporting
Automate manual and repetitive processes using Microsoft Excel, Power Query, and VBA
Create dashboards and performance reports that clearly communicate KPIs, trends, and risks
Standardize reporting templates and controls to ensure consistency across projects and regions
Identify inefficiencies in current processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Perform data validation, QA/QC, and troubleshooting of cost and performance data
Key Skills and Experience
Experience with Construction Data
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, PivotTables, and Power Query
Strong VBA skills for automation, tool development, and workflow optimization
Experience developing dashboards and performance reporting (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools)
Understanding of cost management, project controls, or performance reporting in a construction, real estate, or capital projects environment
Comfortable working with large, complex, or imperfect data sets
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts in a practical and user-friendly way
Experience supporting process standardization, automation, or system improvements
Key Preferred Experience
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools
Experience with Construction related data
Basic SQL or database experience
Background in Digital Controls, PMO, or transformation initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor's or?Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or?related?field.?
Proven work experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.?
Expertise?in using professional data analysis and visualization tools, along with?proficiency?in programming languages.?
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and?provide?actionable insights.?
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.?
High level?of attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.?
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.?
Experience with construction management software and systems.?
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.?
Certification in data analysis or related fields.?
