Job Title: Shipping Clerk

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk to join our team in a dynamic distribution warehouse environment. This role involves managing outbound functions, ensuring the efficient loading and unloading of containers, labeling merchandise, and performing inspections to guarantee accuracy in our shipping processes.

Responsibilities

Assist in unloading and loading of containers using forklift or floor jack.

Label and restack merchandise on pallets as needed to prepare items for storage.

Perform inbound and outbound activities using RF scanners.

Deliver goods to proper storage areas, including stock, non-conform, or NSP areas.

Complete final inspections of incoming and outgoing goods and report any discrepancies.

Consolidate, pack, and ship orders to meet customer and carrier requirements.

Assist in ensuring timely and accurate processing of all orders.

Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.

Essential Skills

Experience operating a sit-down forklift.

Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds.

Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Ability to submit to drug testing and back ground checks.

Work Environment

This role is based in a distribution warehouse environment, requiring the operation of forklifts and engagement in physical tasks. Employees are expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
