Summary Serves as the Administrative Service Coordinator for the Primary Care Service at the El Paso VA Health Care System. This position is designed to provide high-level analytical, evaluative, and administrative support to the Primary Care leadership team. The Service Coordinator position is responsible for the technical execution of business operations, detailed workflow analysis, and the resolution of complex veteran experience barriers. Responsibilities Major duties include: Utilizes quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques to evaluate clinical processes. Maintains and interprets complex data sets from VSSC, Pyramid Analytics, and other VA databases. Collaborates with Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACTs), the Administrative Officer, and Group Practice Manager (GPMs) to standardize and optimize provider appointment grids. Independently manages and resolves complex Psychosocial Assessment Tool-Revised (PATs-R) cases. The incumbent, who acts as a Patient Process Educator, is responsible for informing and educating patients about the various processes and requirements essential for navigating and resolving their healthcare concerns. Analyzes systemic patterns within Veteran experience data. Manages the administrative lifecycle of residency and internship programs. Serves as a Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) for assigned procurements. Reviews new laws, VHA handbooks, and Joint Commission standards to determine their impact on local clinical operations.
