Responsibilities:
Supervise maintenance teams and projects.
Oversee major overhauls and inspections.
Ensure all work meets regulatory and safety standards.
Conduct training and development sessions for junior mechanics.
Coordinate with other departments to streamline operations.
Develop and implement maintenance protocols.
Ensure thorough documentation and reporting of all maintenance activities.
Qualifications You Must Have:
High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with no prior FAA violations.
Must pass, written, oral and practical assessments.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations.
Advanced experience in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines.
Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
Must be able to work within the dynamics of a small team and operate at a high level in a fast paced environment.
Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/30 rotation.
An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required day 1 of employment
.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Previous experience with the Dash 8 platform
Associate's degree in Aviation Maintenance or related field.
Leadership and management experience.
In-depth knowledge of specific aircraft models.
FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience.
Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends.
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS).
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military..

Ability to navigate various work environments, including climbing ladders, crawling in confined spaces, and working at heights.
Ability to drive or operate a vehicle for frequent travel to customer locations.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, including repairs, installations, and maintenance.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
Strong awareness of safety protocols and ability to adhere to safety guidelines in potentially hazardous environments.
Ability to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
