Job Description

The Lead Analytical Scientist - Chromatography will serve as a technical subject matter expert supporting chromatographic method development, optimization, and routine testing at a client site. This role emphasizes hands-on laboratory work, technical leadership, and collaboration within a cross-functional team, with a strong focus on HPLC- and UPLC-based techniques for protein and antibody characterization.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine analytical assays with a high level of accuracy and compliance

Lead development, optimization, and troubleshooting of chromatographic methods

Design and execute novel separation and identification assays

Perform separation, characterization, and identification of proteins and antibodies using HPLC, UPLC, cIEF, BioA/GX, and related techniques

Develop chromatography methods including:

Size Exclusion

Affinity

Reverse Phase

Normal Phase

Ion Exchange

Hydrophobic Interaction

Utilize DAD and FLD detectors to support analytical workflows

Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the team

Support documentation, data review, and method lifecycle activities as required

Qualifications

BS or BA in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent industry experience

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on HPLC experience , preferably within pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments

Demonstrated experience with HPLC and UPLC method development

Strong understanding of chromatographic theory and practical application across multiple modalities

Experience developing and running both routine and novel analytical assays

Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment

Self-motivated, adaptable, and detail-oriented

Must be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is on-site, full-time, Monday-Friday, First Shift, Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Branchburg, New Jersey, are encouraged to apply
