Job Description:
GDIT is hiring a Senior Data Analyst-Dashboard Architect to provide data management, analytic, and visualization support for our program with HRSA Organ Procurement Transplant Network (OPTN) - Patient Safety.
The program's mission is to support the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) in safeguarding patient safety and ensuring consistent, effective oversight of member performance and policy compliance across the national transplant system. This mission advances by enabling rigorous monitoring, case review, committee support, and facilitation of compliance standards that uphold regulatory requirements and protect public health. These functions collectively strengthen the integrity, accountability, and reliability of the U.S. organ transplantation system.
Position is for full-time employment with GDIT and is remote.
Duties include:
Conduct data interpretation and analysis of Patient Safety and workflow data using various data analytics platforms (R and PowerBi)
Develop and test innovative data analytic methods or applications to enhance insight of OPTN program performance
Provide technical assistance in data management, analysis, and visualizations to HRSA and field staff
Prepare written summaries and presentations that reflect the results of the data analysis and present findings to agency leadership
Educate stakeholders HRSA and field staff on the use of data collection and analysis best practices as well as dashboard use
Build data dashboards in various platforms including Excel and business intelligence platforms
Liaise with stakeholders across different contract tasks/departments
Manage unstructured patient level and workflow data to prepare for meaningful data analysis
Develop methods, processes, or checks to assess and improve the quality of PEPFAR data across the data life cycle from reporting, entry, access, extraction, and use
Education:
BA/BS required with 6 years experience OR Masters with 4 years experience (MPH, Health Informatics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics or a related field)
Qualifications:
Required:
Understanding of data management principles using R/PowerBi
Proficiency in data wrangling (querying/connecting, transposing, merging, filtering, aggregating, cleaning) of large complex datasets using R/RStudio or similar
Proficiency in building data models using Power Query or similar
Ability to create quantitative analytics tools, visualizations and applications in more than one of the following platforms: Excel, PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Tableau, R Studio/R Shiny, Python/Jupyter
Knowledge of methods in data science, modeling and/or machine learning
Ability to produce impactful, clear, and timely presentations and reports to experts
Ability to train public health professionals on data analysis life cycle skillsets
Expert user of Microsoft Excel, Power Query, and PowerPoint
Highly Desired:
Familiarity with health, public health, or population health
Experience working with BI platforms such as PowerBI or Tableau
Experience working with or for a US government agency
Experience working with big datasets and/or patient level data
Capable of creating geospatial analytic products using RStudio or QGIS

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
