Summary You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the NATURAL RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS BRANCH of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO. Responsibilities You will serve as a Comprehensive Environmental Training and Education Program (CETEP) Coordinator. You will be responsible for identifying environmental training needs and selecting the most appropriate instructional methods to meet these needs. You will serve as the resident expert on available environmental training and continuing environmental professional development education opportunities available. You will write narrative and statistical reports, orders, bulletins, articles, and press releases that disseminate environmental information. You will perform quality planning and management in order to ensure that environmental training activities and providers meet applicable standards. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing knowledge/guidance on principles, practices, methods of program/administrative work relating to environmental protection programs AND recognizing reference standards, regulatory requirements to assure environmental compliance. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
