Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

This role combines hands-on packing and blending responsibilities in a refrigerated food production facility. You will support daily operations by packing finished products, assisting with blending activities, maintaining strict food safety and quality standards, and keeping work areas clean and organized. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to procedures, and comfort working in a cold environment with variable end times based on production needs.

Responsibilities

Set up inspection bins and trash containers before production starts to ensure the packing area is ready for operation.

Squeegee standing water from the floor before production begins to maintain a safe and clean work area.

Pack finished products into boxes according to specified box pack sizes, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Inspect bags for nonconforming seals and remove or rework any defective packages.

When running sauce products, verify that each bag contains sauce and immediately report any missing sauce to the Machine Operator, Supervisor, or Quality Assurance (QA).

Notify QA or the Machine Operator of any irregularities with bags or products, including defects or quality concerns.

Verify printed information on packaging, such as date, lot number, and line identification, to ensure accurate labeling.

Essential Skills

Experience in production, general labor, or similar hands-on roles, preferably within the food and beverage industry.

Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation practices in a production environment.

Ability to work efficiently in a refrigerated environment and occasionally enter freezer areas.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Preferably 1-2 years of experience in a food and beverage production environment or related industry.

Familiarity with food production processes, including packing, blending, and repacking activities.

Experience with sanitation procedures in a food facility, including cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elizabethtown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
