Position Overview:
You will be a key member of the Powersports Accounting Team, responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial results for the Powersports business unit. Reporting to the Powersports Controller, you will support core accounting activities including close processes, reserves, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and internal controls. Your work will involve close partnership with Corporate Finance and business stakeholders to maintain reliable financial reporting and effective system and process controls. This role is a compelling opportunity to have meaningful ownership over critical accounting processes while gaining exposure to complex, enterprise-scale financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Prepare and review monthly financial reporting, including P&L and balance sheet fluctuation analysis for management.
Develop, analyze, and maintain key accounting reserves, including quarterly reviews and forecast inputs.
Support revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and related transactions to ensure compliance with GAAP.
Partner with Corporate Finance and business unit teams to identify, resolve, and prevent inaccurate or incomplete financial data through effective controls.
Design, document, and maintain finance policies, procedures, and system workflows to strengthen internal controls.
Identify and lead accounting process improvement initiatives, including automation and system optimization opportunities.
Assist with internal and external audit activities, including quarterly reviews, testing, and documentation.
Prepare ad hoc financial analyses, data requests, and project support as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related major required.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, including public accounting and/or manufacturing environment experience.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404 requirements.
CPA certification strongly preferred.
Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analyses.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including V-lookups and pivot tables. Experience with MAPICS and/or OneStream is a plus.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment, averaging three days per week in the office.
Some travel will be required.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $80,000 to $111,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
