The Sales Engineer is responsible for developing and managing sales, ensuring customer satisfaction, and overseeing order fulfillment in alignment with agreed sales goals and expectations. This role combines technical understanding with strong commercial acumen to drive revenue growth, expand the client base, and support product development through market feedback and analysis.
Responsibilities
Provide input and direction for creating strategic sales plans that align with corporate goals and long-term business objectives.
Direct sales forecasting activities and establish performance goals to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
Review market analyses to identify customer needs, appropriate price schedules, and discount structures.
Advise dealers, distributors, and clients on effective sales and advertising techniques to increase market penetration and revenue.
Analyze sales statistics to help formulate sales policies and support dealers in promoting products and services.
Represent the company at trade association meetings and industry events to promote products and enhance brand visibility.
Deliver persuasive sales presentations to clients and prospects, clearly communicating product benefits and value propositions.
Meet regularly with existing clients and prospects to maintain and develop relationships, negotiate terms, and secure orders.
Coordinate closely with the Sales Coordinator, manufacturing facilities, headquarters, and other sales-related units to ensure smooth order processing and fulfillment.
Prepare periodic sales reports that show sales volume, potential sales, and opportunities for client base expansion.
Provide input and direction for product research and development based on customer feedback and market trends.
Monitor and evaluate competitor activities, products, and strategies, and incorporate findings into sales and marketing approaches.
Apply strong analytical skills to synthesize complex information, collect and research data, and contribute to workflow and process design.
Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, develop alternative solutions, and participate effectively in group problem-solving situations.
Develop and coordinate project plans, communicate changes and progress, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Essential Skills
Proven experience in technical sales or engineering sales, combining engineering knowledge with commercial responsibilities.
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or at least five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex and diverse information and use data to inform decisions.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability, including resolving issues in a timely manner and developing alternative solutions.
