Job Description

A company in Boulder, Colorado is looking to add an Administrative Assistant III to their team! The Administrative Assistant III provides advanced, professional-level administrative support to the Friends of the National Center (FoNC) program office and Executive Director. On a daily basis, this role coordinates meetings, travel, and schedules; prepares and distributes meeting materials; drafts, proofreads, and finalizes correspondence; and supports fundraising, engagement, and governance-related events. The Administrative Assistant tracks incoming funds, monitors program budgets, reconciles purchasing and travel expenses, and assists with financial reporting using cloud-based financial systems. This position also maintains donor and membership data within the FoNC CRM, corresponds regularly with donors, staff, and alumni, and supports website updates to ensure accurate, accessible, and branded content. The role exercises independent judgment, handles sensitive information with discretion, and supports the smooth day-to-day operations of the FoNC program while contributing to larger engagement and revenue-generating initiatives. This position will be a part-time contract role, requiring 28 hours of work including one day on-site per week. This role is offering an hourly rate of $25-32/hr based on years of experience. Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant

Advanced administrative support experience in a professional or nonprofit environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and composing professional correspondence

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, and databases)

Experience coordinating meetings, travel, calendars, and events

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

Experience tracking budgets, expenses, and reconciling purchases using financial or expense-management systems

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with a team Experience supporting fundraising, alumni relations, or nonprofit engagement programs

Experience planning and staffing fundraising or stakeholder events

Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or other cloud-based databases

Experience maintaining or updating websites using tools such as WordPress or Drupal

Prior experience working with donors, stakeholders, executives, or senior leadership

Knowledge of nonprofit or higher-education organizations
