Summary About the Position: Serves as administrative assistant responsible for providing administrative, clerical, and office automation support to the administrative section at Bonneville Lock and Dam. Assists with administrative programs and policies, and is responsible for coordination, recommendations, implementation, and follow-up. Keeps supervisor informed on all crucial administrative matters. Work involves information of a confidential and sensitive nature. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and evaluate administrative missions, including procurement actions and the integration of specialized internal management plans. Serve as the authoritative Point of Contact (POC) for Pay, Leave, benefits, retirement, and the in-processing/clearance of Bonneville Project personnel. Manage the medical surveillance program by scheduling physicals and executing payments to providers using a Government Purchase Card (GPC). Direct the review and processing of performance evaluation system and the administration of incentive awards. Apply knowledge of CFR Title 5, government purchase card (GPC) programs, and Defense Travel System (DTS) regulations to evaluate the impact of revised policies on the organization. Implement and oversee procedures for the control, maintenance, and disposition of records, ensuring regulatory compliance through regular file inspections. Provide executive-level support by managing office visitors, telephone communications, and establishing suspense controls to meet critical deadlines. Purchase mission-essential supplies and services, ensuring the timely reconciliation of government VISA card statements at the end of each month. Provide significant input to administrative studies necessitated by organizational changes and recommend courses of action for improved practices. Compose and prepare complex correspondence, statistical reports, and briefing materials required to support the command office mission.
