Description of Job
TheDivision of Motor Vehicles (DMV)provides services used by nearly every resident of the State. Colorado residents utilize identification, driver, and vehicle services at State and County offices to obtain identification cards, driver licenses, vehicle registrations, titles, and other related services. Additionally, the DMV licenses and provides oversight of private businesses and government organizations that provide driver and emission testing services. Finally, the division works closely with other state agencies and programs to provide information and education to serve the public and encourage voluntary compliance.
Within the DMV, the Driver Control Sectionadministers motor vehicle statutory requirements affecting driver's privilege, to compile and house motor vehicle related data and documents through data entry, electronic imaging, and filing. Provides copies, reports, and information pertaining to motor vehicle data and documents upon request from law enforcement and governmental agencies. Also processes requests from the general public and collect appropriate fees. This position supervises theInterlock /Reinstatements Team. The ILK unit processes reinstatement documents for drivers with alcohol/drug administrative actions and restricted interlock licenses. It ensures compliance with the Colorado Interlock Program and ensures compliance with all facets of Colorado licensing and driver statutes.
Interlock/Reinstatements Supervisor Job Duties:
Supervises, directs, and manages the daily activities of the Interlock Team.
Provides subject matter expertise, technical knowledge and guidance involving Ignition Interlock (ILK) program management.
Manages procedure and workflow for ILK monitoring and sanctioning.
Compiles appropriate evidence files for the department.
Provides staff support and problem resolution within the section.
Compiles work performance accomplishments and statistical reports which correlate to the fiscal year business plans, ILK program performance and budget limitations.
Plan, prioritize, assign, and monitor workflow to ensure quality and quantity of work meets program goals.
Resolve problems, performance issues, and informal grievances; initiate corrective action or recommend discipline.
Provide feedback and coaching, write performance plans, and sign performance evaluations.
Initiate hiring processes, interview candidates, and recommend hire actions.
Serve as the subject matter expert for interlock reinstatements and driver monitoring.
This position is responsible for establishing a standard for vendor service center audits,
identify deficiencies and prepare corrective action plans; recommend revocation of licenses;
review complaints and recommend changes in procedures and policies;
provide technical assistance and advice such as interpreting and explaining guidelines.
Authorize the deletion or correction of restraint actions on driver records. Reviews others work to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Communicate with interlock drivers regarding non-compliance issues and vendor complaints. This position will identify deficiencies and prepare corrective action plans and issue notices to the interlock vendors regarding non-compliance.
Monitor workflow and production to evaluate the quality of work performed by each individual.
Develops, monitors and evaluates work standards, evaluates employee performance within the established standards, assigns work, approves leave, selects and trains new employees.
In addition, this position will learn how to process all reinstatement documents and submit interlock evidence to the Hearing Division.
Trains external partners on the ignition interlock program not limited to but including driver sanctions and reinstatement requirements.
This is a remote position that is primarily tasked with performing work duties via flex-place (aka telework, work-from-home arrangements) with infrequent on-site visits, including the office at 2829 W Howard Place, Denver, CO 80204.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Only:
Four (4) years of relevant experience in Customer Service, which must include career progression into roles of leadership including Team Lead, Supervisory, Managerial, or other equivalent roles, with job duties to include the oversight of employees.
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related secondary education in degrees areas including Business, Public Administration, Information Technology, Communication, or other related fields; along with relevant work experience in Customer Service, which must include career progression into roles of leadership including Team Lead, Supervisory, Managerial, or other equivalent roles, with job duties to include the oversight of employees; to equal to four (4) years.

Conditions of Employment with the CDOR :
Employees are in a position of public trust in the performance of their job duties and must operate in a manner that maintains the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and public confidence.
As a condition of employment with the CDOR , all personnel must file all necessary Colorado Individual Income Tax (CIIT) returns and pay tax obligations, therefore all employees must undergo a pre-employment evaluation of their tax records/accounts to ensure compliance with this policy.
