Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Business Analyst - AI role acts as the critical bridge between advanced machine learning and AI capabilities and strategic business objectives. Unlike traditional business analysts who focus primarily on historical reporting, this role is forward-looking centered on identifying opportunities for predictive modeling, intelligent business process automation, identifying AI value to accelerate business growth.
In this role, the Manufacturing Business Analyst - AI partners closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, data engineers, and product teams to ensure AI initiatives are feasible, valuable, ethical, and measurable. The role ensures that deployed AI solutions deliver real-world business impact, not just technical accuracy.

Essential Functions:
AI Opportunity Identification: Analyze end-to-end business workflows to identify inefficiencies, automation opportunities, and potential bias risks that can be addressed through AI integration.
Requirements Reframing: Translate high-level or ambiguous business goals into clear, testable AI and data science hypotheses.
Data Feasibility Assessment: Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to validate whether existing datasets have sufficient volume, quality, and coverage to support AI model development.
Model Validation: Evaluate AI model outputs against real-world business outcomes to ensure solutions deliver tangible value beyond statistical accuracy.
KPI & Metric Definition: Define and track AI success metrics, including efficiency gains, cost savings, revenue impact, model confidence, and adoption rates.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as a translator between technical teams and business stakeholders, clearly explaining AI concepts, risks, and outcomes. Define and communicate the AI product vision, aligning it with business goals and user needs.

Required Qualifications:
AI / ML Literacy: Familiarity with the AI lifecycle, model performance metrics, and responsible AI principles such as fairness, transparency, and bias mitigation.
Technical Communication: Ability to explain complex algorithmic and AI concepts in clear, business-friendly language.
Azure Cloud: Proficiency in Azure cloud & analytical experience for data exploration and extraction.
Prompt Engineering: Proficiency in using generative AI tools to efficiently draft business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, and test cases.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
The hiring range for this position is $87,800 - $128,750 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business @context.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
