Summary You will serve as a Combined Trades Supervisor II in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT, SHIP DISMANTLER SHOP (075) of PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will plan overall work assignments on an immediate and long-range basis in accordance with established schedule requirements taking into consideration available supervisor, workers, equipment, facilities, materials, and tools. You will establish, assign, and explain work requirements to subordinate supervisor, setting deadlines, priorities, and sequences to be followed for work operations. You will identify training and qualification needs of subordinate's effects on-the-job training, recommend personnel actions, and enforce disciplinary actions. You will maintain liaison with key management personnel in all Shipyard departments, offices, and divisions, including Production Resources Shop Process Managers, You will be responsible for the broad scope planning, scheduling, monitoring, and certification of work within the assigned zone. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher. ICTAP candidates must provide copies of all of the following documentation at the time of application: 1) agency notice; 2) most recent performance appraisal; and 3) most recent SF-50 or notification of personnel action that includes position, grade level, and duty location. Applicants who do not provide this documentation will not receive consideration as an ICTAP. This position requires exposure to high noise levels. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. A BQ military spouse possesses knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies comparable to others who meet the competitive referral criteria for the specific position.
