Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Fraser, Michigan. In this role, you will oversee critical aspects of credit management, account analysis, and collections to ensure smooth financial operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate across departments and contribute to the organization's financial health.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate existing account statuses to determine the necessity of placing order holds.

Analyze account data, financial trends, and reports to establish or recommend credit lines in line with company policies.

Approve credit lines up to $200,000 and prepare documentation for higher approvals.

Monitor orders placed on hold, resolve underlying issues, and communicate outcomes to customers and sales teams.

Collaborate with sales, service, and other departments to resolve customer disputes and facilitate timely payments.

Recommend escalation of accounts to third-party collections when necessary.

Manage specialized billing processes, including government contracts and construction project billing.

Prepare and submit sales tax credit requests to the tax department.

Work closely with the credit and collections team to streamline processes and reduce workloads. Requirements - Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 5 years of experience in credit and collections.

Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

Familiarity with financial statements, cash flow analysis, and industry-specific credit research.

Knowledge of SAP and experience with government billing systems such as Wide Area Work Flow is preferred.

Expertise in accounts receivable, cash applications, and commercial collections.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments.
