Description

We are looking for a meticulous and dependable Accounting Clerk to join our client's team in West Palm Beach. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the accounting department through tasks such as billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial data entry. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured and detail-oriented environment, with opportunities for long-term growth.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, verify, and distribute client invoices, ensuring all required supporting documentation is included.

Process accounts payable and overhead invoices with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Review and post incoming payments to the correct accounts, ensuring proper cash allocation.

Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances to maintain timely collections.

Perform accurate and consistent data entry into both internal and external accounting systems.

Assist with reviewing client contracts to facilitate proper project setup and compliance.

Maintain well-organized electronic records of contracts and other accounting-related documents.

Provide general administrative and accounting support to the team as needed.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth execution of accounting processes.

Requirements - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is encouraged.

At least one year of experience in administrative or accounting support roles is preferred.

Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.

Ability to efficiently handle repetitive tasks while maintaining consistency.

Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Familiarity with Deltek software is a plus.

Strong ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment.
