Summary You will serve as an Information Security Specialist focusing on acquisition security processes within the Information and Acquisition Protection Division of the Security Directorate, Office of the Chief of Naval Intelligence and Security (OCNI&S). Responsibilities You will play a pivotal role in the development, modernization, and promulgation of Department of the Navy (DON) information security policy, including for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). You will research innovative security methodologies, analyze legislation, create executive-level briefings, and formulate responses for senior leadership within the DON and Department of War (DoW) to protect vital DON interests. You will lead Security Enterprise Modernization by developing information and acquisition security initiatives and integrating artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance security and operational efficiency. You will deliver authoritative briefings on complex and sensitive security matters to senior leadership and at high-level conferences. You will integrate security throughout the acquisition lifecycle by incorporating critical protection measures into DON acquisition policy and program protection processes You will formulate and direct the security review process for the official public release of DON information. You will assist and support senior Agency officials and the Activity Security Manager in the development and implementation of security compliance policies and guidelines. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: This specialized experience is defined as holding a senior role in the development, modernization, or implementation of an enterprise-wide information security program. You must also demonstrate experience providing authoritative counsel to senior officials on complex matters related to the protection of classified and unclassified information. This includes leading collaborative policy development with internal and external stakeholders, analyzing and shaping national-level security policy, and driving modernization initiatives to enhance an organization's overall security posture and operational effectiveness.
