Staff Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are looking for an entry-level Staff Accountant to join our team in Cherokee, North Carolina. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting expertise while contributing to various financial operations. If you're passionate about accuracy and detail-oriented, this position could be a great fit.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.

Assist in maintaining and reconciling the general ledger accounts.

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.

Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.

Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Contribute to the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Monitor and report on financial transactions to maintain accuracy and transparency.

Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Strong understanding of journal entries and general ledger processes.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
