We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Middlesex, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the organization's financial success.

Responsibilities:

Handle daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and maintaining general ledger records.

Prepare detailed financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Manage and execute month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.

Collaborate closely with auditors to facilitate smooth and accurate financial audits.

Maintain compliance with corporate tax regulations and oversee the preparation of corporate tax returns.

Ensure accurate calculation and reporting of sales tax obligations.

Post journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.

Provide support in analyzing financial data and resolving discrepancies when needed.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and other relevant accounting software.

Strong knowledge of corporate tax, including sales tax and tax return preparation.

Hands-on experience in journal entries, general ledger management, and month-end close processes.

Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.

Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.

Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with team members.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
