Job Description:
This job is responsible for more complex financial activities involving the consolidation of the bank's month-end close, planning, forecasting and capital processes. Key responsibilities include performing forecasting, profitability analysis, financial reporting, and trend analysis using advanced modeling /software skills and assisting with ad hoc requests. Job expectations include working with key planning and analysis partners on small projects, research, and evaluations of financial performance while maintaining Operational Excellence and a controls discipline.
Additional Information:
This role leads the consolidation and governance of the Consumer Baseline Forecast, including financials, key metrics, and executive reporting, while partnering closely with Consumer LOB finance teams, Corporate Planning, and senior leadership. It analyzes and communicates key drivers, risks, and variances, ensures strong controls and documentation, and represents Consumer results in materials for the CFO and CEO. The position also supports stress testing and resolution planning, drives process improvements and automation, and provides day-to-day leadership and mentorship to supporting team members.
Responsibilities:
Reviews, challenges, and reports on forecasts and budgets by comparing current performance against plan, prior periods and prior forecasts, and evaluating current and future performance trajectory
Compiles financial information from a Line of Business (LOB) and consolidated perspective for presentation to stakeholders
Develops financial management dashboards, reports, presentations, ad hoc analysis, and research using Microsoft Office Suite and Emerging Technology tools
Collaborates with teams across the Finance division to ensure integrity of the financials, sound controls, and efficient and effective procedures with limited oversight
Supports new and ongoing projects and strategic initiatives by helping to create new processes to automate key reporting capabilities and delivering on process improvements and simplifications to enable increased focus on strategic priorities
Exhibits strong attention to detail and applies analytical thinking and problem solving to deliverables while collaborating with key stakeholders and partners
Additional Responsibilities:
Forecasting & Executive Reporting
Lead consolidation of the Consumer Baseline Forecast, including balances, P&L, and key performance metrics.
Partner with Consumer LOB Finance, Regional Banking leaders, and Corporate Planning to develop clear forecast summaries, dashboards, and executive-level materials for senior leadership, including the CFO and CEO.
Analyze and clearly articulate key forecast drivers, risks, and variances versus prior forecasts, plan, YoY, and QoQ results.
Serve as Delegate to the Forecast Process Lead, owning consolidation deliverables, timelines, and process execution.
Maintain strong governance and controls across the forecast consolidation process, including Desktop Procedures, SAFER, POP updates, and ORCIT key measures reporting.
Respond to ad hoc analytical requests related to the consolidated Consumer forecast and senior management reviews.
Provide day-to-day leadership and mentorship to FMAP and seasonal interns supporting the Consumer Forecast Consolidation process.
Stress Testing & Resolution Planning (EST / GRRP)
Partner with CFO, LOB Finance, and Enterprise Scenario Planning & Execution (ESPE) teams to perform and consolidate Consumer stress testing and Global Resolution & Recovery Planning (GRRP).
Review, analyze, and report consolidated stress forecast results in accordance with ESPE guidance.
Prepare, analyze, and report GRRP contingency options per regulatory and ESPE requirements.
Act as Delegate for the stress testing Single Process Inventory (SPI).
Work closely with the EST/GRRP process lead and senior manager to identify and implement process improvements across stress testing and resolution planning activities.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of professional / demonstrated work experience within financial services industry
General Ledger / EPM / Essbase Proficiency
Advanced Excel skills
Highly organized and proactive
Strong communication skills - able to communicate concepts both verbally and in writing
Detail-oriented with a control mindset and strong critical thinking skills
Proven ability working independently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with evolving priorities
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines

Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
Desire to learn and leverage emerging technologies (AI/CoPilot, Tableau, Alteryx, Workiva, Picklinks, Power Query, Power Pivot)
Knowledge of the Consumer business and associated corporate functions
