Summary Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) mission is to lead the Department of Defense (DoD) in finance and accounting by ensuring the delivery of efficient, exceptional quality pay and financial information. Responsibilities Leads, integrates and prioritizes IT Enterprise Architecture (EA) Tier 1 projects. Defines policies and principles to guide technology decisions for EA. Provides technical expertise and systems analysis for IT/network/cloud computing implementation, to include planning and implementation of application rationalization and migration planning and execution. Determines gaps between the current and target architecture and develops plans for transitioning to target architecture. Promotes and educates management and all levels of personnel, customers and stakeholders on the use and value of the EA. In Addition to the Basic Requirement above: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-13) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized Experience is defined as: Providing oversight and analysis for an organization's information technology systems projects as it relates to system architecture, such as planning and development, and defining information technology (IT) rules and requirements that describe baseline and target architectures; analyzing, planning, designing, documenting, assessing an IT enterprise structural framework. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. Additional Information In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements in 12 months.
