Position Summary...
Join the Merchandising Data and Analytics Enablement Team as a Principal Analyst, where you will lead advanced modeling, experimentation, and data integration (including external data) to solve complex merchandising problems across planning and execution
This role focuses on shaping and improving merchant decision-making through analytics, ensuring decisions translate effectively into execution and outcomes
You will work across the merchandising lifecycle, including demand planning, assortment, purchase order execution, fulfillment, and network flows, using data to uncover root causes of misalignment, delays, and inefficiencies
You will partner with Merchandising stakeholders, Product, Engineering, and Enterprise Data teams to build scalable, trusted solutions that improve demand-supply synchronization and support automated, data-driven workflows
What you'll do...
Shape and improve merchant decision-making
Partner with Merchandising stakeholders to shape and refine decisions across demand, assortment, and execution using data and advanced modeling
Evaluate how decisions translate into execution and outcomes, and identify opportunities to improve performance and decision quality
Lead modeling and analytical solutioning
Develop and apply statistical and predictive models, experimentation, and optimization techniques to solve complex problems across merchandising and supply chain
Structure ambiguous problems into clear analytical approaches, defining methodologies and success metrics
Leverage internal and external data
Identify and integrate internal and external (third-party) data sources to strengthen analysis and uncover opportunities
Drive execution and business impact
Own end-to-end analytical delivery, from planning through execution to measurable outcomes
Define and evolve business-relevant metrics and KPIs, aligned with decision workflows
Identify gaps between planning and execution and analyze root causes of inefficiencies and supply-demand imbalances
Influence and elevate
Communicate insights and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner to stakeholders
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions
Mentor team members and promote strong analytical thinking and best practices
What you'll bring...
Strong proficiency in Python or R and SQL, with experience in modern data platforms (e.g., GCP, Databricks)
Extensive experience in advanced analytics, statistical modeling, experimentation, and causal inference
Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions and define business-relevant metrics and KPIs
Experience delivering insights that lead to measurable impact and improved decision-making
Experience working with external datasets (e.g., NielsenIQ, Circana, or Census) and familiarity with data standards such as GS1 is a plus
Strong understanding of data modeling (e.g., star schema, OBT), data quality, and data engineering fundamentals
Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders and drive adoption of insights

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
