Job Summary:
The Analog Engineer III is an experienced contributor who works highly independently and uses established procedures to perform assigned tasks by working cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers and Customers. Provide engineering design and analysis services for DC/DC power converters and filters for space and Hi-reliability applications. Responsibility for technical proposals, requirements management, detailed architecture of topology and control, detailed circuit design and analyses (including familiarity with part selection and design concepts associated with radiation hardened / tolerant circuitry), product performance, customer presentations, schedule, and cost requirements. Will have expert knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program. May lead a team of engineers on assigned projects.
Essential Functions:
Model and simulate circuit or system performanceof dc-dc power converters and filtersusing analytical tools
Detailed design and analysis of discrete implementation of power converter control circuitry that is resistant to performance degradation due to radiation effects
Filter modeling, analysis and design
System integration, test and development ofDC power conversion hardware for spaceflight and Hi-Rel applications
Investigateandevaluate newpower topologies and controlfor spaceflight applications
Work with interdisciplinary teams toensurethat the designs meet the customers'electrical, environmental as well as internal manufacturing requirements and standards
Support internal concurrent design criteria
Function asthetechnical interface for customers and attend technical meetings as required. Supportspecification development with customers
Translatemarketspecificationsinto design requirements.Generate design documentation required for proto@type and/or production releases asrequired
Document new designs per established guidelines including but not limited to simulations, test circuit measurements and tolerance analyses
Provide appropriate input to the development of test procedures, fixtures and software
Respond tomarket trends and requirementsfor product development specifications
Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:5+ years of experiencewith microelectronic dc-dcpower conversionand control systemdesign, including knowledge of radiation effects on components and circuits.Experience with high reliability hardwaredesignfrom conceptual design throughproductdelivery.Experience withanalogmodeling tools (I.e.,Symetrix, Simplis,AnsysMaxwell, Mathcadorequivalent software
Knowledge: Knowledge of complexdc-dcpower topologies and control circuitries;Discrete analogcircuit design;Detailed knowledge ofpowerelectronicstechnology,includingtemperature compensating analog circuits,radiation tolerant components and circuitry,referencecompensators, magnetic design, and planar magnetics
Skill: Excellent documentation, organization and time management skills.Ability to write procedures, reports, and acceptance tests.Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects through completedevelopmentcycle.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environmentand mentor others.
Education/Certification: BS degree in Electrical Engineering. Master's or PhD preferred.

Salary range: $137,036.35 - 161,548.00. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
