Job Title: Construction Foreman Responsibilities: Directly supervise and cross-train All construction and maintenance employees.

Coach and Train Employees to become good truck drivers and heavy equipment operators.

Prioritize & Triage facility maintenance and requested work projects with the Manager.

Help Direct a safety program with the Manager, Watermaster, and Safety Representatives.

Conduct field reviews of all irrigation features and LYIP facilities & requested work items and determine plan of action in consultation with the Manager & Watermaster. Develop cost estimates in consultation with the Manager & Watermaster .

Schedule all field jobs in Consultation with the Manager and Watermaster/Job Foreman.

Create a prioritized list of fair weather projects, poor weather projects, and bad weather projects. Schedule the next day's work and prioritize projects for future weeks & months. Provide scheduling, details, & appropriate drawings of concrete structures.

Scheduling materials, labor, and equipment needs.

Maintain, Track, & Update inventories of supplies and materials.

Order needed parts, materials, supplies, and repair parts in consultation with Manager

Schedule unloading of materials at the proper site with the proper Equipment & Operator.

Schedule equipment service, repair, and parts ordering.

Assist Manager in developing Bid Specs for Replacement Equipment & Vehicles

Acquire parts & materials in advance of future job performances.

Conduct preliminary and construction surveys and staking of scheduled jobs.

Provide field drawings for minor features & structures in consult with Manager.

Delegate some Manager approved jobs to the Watermaster/Job Foreman & other project supervisors during the non-irrigation season. Manage databases: a. Daily and weekly work schedules & Inventory b. Pump maintenance. c. Equipment hours, miles, and service. Obtain any necessary permits, permissions, and 811 utility locates in advance of scheduled job performance. Prepare field slips for invoicing or tracking all work done for hire, or culverts and parts.

Make sure employees Track & record All Pipe, Parts, Material, gravel, road base, Dirt loads and etc. that leave every LYIP Facility and Pits to be properly invoiced or tracked per project. Meet with the Manager daily at 4:00 or 4:30pm for review of work items.

Brief the Joint Board on last month projects completed and future projects & answer questions at the beginning of afternoon or evening meetings. Assist the Manager when requested, in conducting a formal review of performance with all construction and maintenance personnel. Help interview future employees and provide manager with your observations.

Perform other duties as assigned or when required. Education: High School Job Requirements: Heavy Equipment experience, Valid CDL, Ability to communicate well, work with, and train personnel with all personality @types. Ability to take direction from the Manager. Salary and benefits to be discussed at time of interview.
