Job Title: Software Engineer

Job Description

As a Software Engineer, you will join our Embedded Systems Engineering group, focusing on developing the software stack for RF transmitters. Your role will involve working on embedded software projects within control systems, robotics, and electro-mechanical systems. You will engage with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with industry experts, making significant contributions to our software team.

Responsibilities

Design and develop user interface and control software for transmitters and electro-mechanical systems.

Assess problem statements, architect solutions, and document software requirements.

Plan development timelines, execute plans, and report progress weekly.

Assist in the bring-up and troubleshooting of systems.

Provide technical expertise in support of hardware engineering, manufacturing functions, and design reviews.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience as a software engineer with success in completing complex projects in mixed environments including Linux and Windows.

Experience in developing and troubleshooting control and monitoring applications utilizing register interfaces and TCP/IP protocols.

Proficiency in C#, Git, Linux, C/C++, Python, TCP/IP, JavaScript, Node.js, React, GTK+ 3.x, shell scripting, and TCL/TK.

Hands-on experience with lower-level communication protocols, lab test equipment, schematics, and board-level parts.

Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

US Citizenship.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with DSP, AJAX, SOAP, Ant, Servo motor tuning, PLC programming, NTP, and Subversion.

Experience in writing embedded or Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) globally distributed applications.

UI and human-computer interaction design using React, Ignition, or similar.

Experience in developing and debugging device drivers for I2C, SPI, UART, USB, PCIe, and GPIO.

Familiarity with virtualization, SVN, Jira, Buildroot, and OpenEmbedded.

Experience in automated tests and optimizing builds.

BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $72.00/hr.
